W. Byers Ltd recently opened a second premises on Kingmoor Park. The company are benefitting from Enterprise Zone incentives to support their growth and enable the fit out of offices at their new unit.

The Cumbrian based business sells outdoor clothing, sportswear and equipment via their online store and Amazon. The 18,000sqft unit on Kingmoor Park Central has been acquired for their products to be stored and distributed.

The property was chosen by W. Byers both because of the ideal location near to parcel companies on site and to benefit from Enterprise Zone incentives.

Kingmoor Park is a government set Enterprise Zone meaning it has been recognised as a designated area for businesses to begin and grow. This can mean financial incentives for qualifying companies such as capital allowances and business rates relief as well as support for super-fast broadband and key partner support.

W.Byers is owned and managed by Will Byers and Lizzie Local and began trading in 2012. Given the growing trend of online shopping, demand for their products has continued to rise despite the economic challenges that 2020 has brought.

Speaking about their new premises, Managing Director, Will Byers said

“We had been on the lookout for a second premises for a while so when this unit became available, we were quick to move. We knew that Kingmoor Park was an Enterprise Zone and the saving that the business rates relief brings is vital for us to continue expanding.”

“We also find the location of the unit ideal for us to distribute our products via the parcel companies already based on Kingmoor Park. It is easy for delivery drivers to find as it’s just off the M6. We hope to continue growing in the years to come.”

Elsewhere on the business park, Enterprise Zone occupancy levels have risen as businesses continue to enjoy the benefits of relocating to the site.

Speaking on this, Kingmoor Park Properties Managing Director, Neil McIntyre said;

“We are delighted to welcome W. Byers to Kingmoor Park Central. They join a growing number of businesses choosing to take space within the Enterprise Zone boundary both because of the strategic location and to benefit from the incentives this brings. We look forward to continuing to support their business as they grow in the years to come.”
