Kingmoor Park Properties Ltd, owners of Kingmoor Park, Carlisle, Bridgwater Business Park in Leigh and Kingmoor Park Wrexham recently received the keys for their newly refurbished 40,000sqft building from the projects main contractors, Carlisle based Cubby Construction before handing them over to new tenants, UPS, the very next day.

The 6 month contract, value circa £400,000 was achieved on time and on budget thanks to Cubby Construction and the efforts of the Project Team which included agents Carigiet Cowan, Quantity Surveyors, Donleys, Architects Plus and the Kingmoor Park Properties team.

Commenting on the deal, Tony Goddard, Kingmoor Park Chief Executive said:

“This is excellent news in today’s depressed property market and an indication that Carlisle is holding up well to the recession.  We are able to respond quickly to enquiries such as this with positive solutions to suit tenant’s individual requirements making the building fit their needs.  We have a range of existing buildings available for other such instances and can usually meet all types shapes and sizes.  Additionally we have land available for design and build options where the tenant can be involved in the whole process and we will hand it over when completed. 

It has always been our policy to have a sizable stock of buildings available in varying sizes but recent Government policy to rate vacant property has caused us to completely review this strategy.   This has imposed a heavy burden on the company.  At a stroke this Government policy has made industrial developers throughout the country suspend all new speculative development and in many cases demolish existing buildings to avoid the rate charge.   The problem with this action is that when the economy returns there will be little space available for emerging companies”.
