Carlisle Northern Development Route (CNDR)
Work starts in October 2009 on the long-awaited Carlisle Northern Development Route (CNDR), which will run through Kingmoor Park improving further the site’s exceptional communications.
The northern section is due to be finished by August 2011 and the whole road completed in April 2012.
The road runs from Junction 44 of the M6, goes through Kingmoor Park, around the western boundary of Carlisle and links up with the A595, leading to the Port of Workington.
The road is expected to carry around 13,000 vehicles a week on completion, quickly rising to 19,000.

Whether travelling north on M6 or south on M74, exit at Junction 44 taking Carlisle turn-off.
At the first set of traffic lights turn right into Parkhouse Road. McDonalds will then be immediately on your left and retail estate on your right.
Travel straight ahead at mini roundabout; continue past ASDA and then Gallo Rosso restaurant, both on your left hand side and travel over small railway bridge.
Take the next left and left again to the main entrance to Kingmoor Park. Report to the Security Lodge and ask for directions to the Marketing Suite.
